Omanga Rubbishes Claims that she Jumped Over Kasarani Police Station Fence

2 mins read

Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has rubbished the claims alluding that she is the woman captured in a viral photo jumping off a fence at Kasarani Police Station.

The MP has called on the members of the public to disregard the rumors and treat them as mere propaganda.

“Disregard the propaganda about me jumping over Kasarani police station fence. It is an idle rumor worth no one’s attention. Sincerely, how can I jump, over anything, let alone a high fence, without Kenya experiencing earth tremor?” she tweeted.

Reports had earlier alluded that Omanga was forced to scale through the police station’s fence following the arrest of her sister.

Apparently, this had turned chaotic as police unleashed dogs forcing the vocal legislator to flee for her life.

Kasarani OCPD Peter Mwanzo further backed Omanga’s claims adding that the latter did not visit the station at any point. He further revealed that neither the MP’s sister nor relative was booked into the station.

“Neither the senator nor her relative was booked as a detainee or visitor at the police station. It would be miraculous for someone to jump over the barbed Kasarani [police station] wire fencing without sustaining physical injuries,” said Kasarani OCPD Mwanzo.

According to Omanga, the propaganda was fabricated by political enemies whose aim is to tarnish her ‘good’ name.
