Ole Kina: Maasai nation is fully behind Raila to the end

1 min read

Senator Ledama Ole Kina says the Maasai nation is fully behind Raila Odinga’s 2022 presidential bid and that the community will vote the former PM for the top seat to the last man.

Speaking in Homabay during the burial of Mzee Ajwang Nyakwamba, father to Homabay senator Moses Kajwang and Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang’, the Narok senator noted Kenya was ready for a Raila’s presidency and he will do all it takes to ensure his party leader is elected to State House.

”We stand firmly with Raila Odinga as the Maasai nation. When I speak I do so with authority because we are the ones who give direction to the Maasai people. We are supporting Baba because he has stood firm with us, and he has shown us the direction,” he said.

While seeming to attack DP Ruto and his allies, Ole Kina told the mourners not to listen to shallow sloganeering from leaders with nothing to offer the country, but empty rhetoric.

Previously, there were rumors of Ole Kina jumping ship to William Ruto’s UDA, something dismissed by his appearance in Homabay and a subsequent declaration he is backing Mr. Odinga for the top seat.
