OKA chiefs swallow pride, to meet Mt Kenya Foundation

1 min read

The One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals have finally agreed to meet the Mt Kenya Foundation and are expected to hold an afternoon session with the powerful group at the Safari Park Hotel.

Last week, OKA, comprising ANC, Wiper, Kanu, and Ford Kenya declined an invitation the group had sent to them, saying the foundation had openly expressed their support for ODM leader Raila Odinga.

”MKF planned the meeting. They will give us the opportunity to share our visions and aspirations,” ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi said yesterday, after his statement last week of rejecting a similar invitation.

OKA principals are Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (Amani National Congress), Gideon Moi (Kanu), and Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya).

”Your input in the consultations towards Mt Kenya region’s position and stake in the next government will be greatly appreciated,” reads the invite by MKF vice-chairman Titus Ibui.

After today’s meeting, the foundation will meet President Kenyatta to present its preferred presidential candidate.
