A lobby group dubbed Young Turks for the Handshake Alliance have organized a birthday party for the Azimio la Umoja Movement leader Raila Odinga on Friday at the Baden Powell memorial site at around 11 am.
According to Waithira Maruru, one of the organizers, similar events will be happening across the 47 counties where young Kenyans will be celebrating the tremendous life of the ODM boss as he turns 77 this year.
“This is a lobby group that supports the handshake between the former Prime Minister and the President and tomorrow we shall be cutting a cake for Baba,” she said, going ahead to disclose the cake is ready and they are only waiting for the big day.

Other than young Kenyans supporting the former prime minister, others invited are street children who will be treated for lunch and also have a chance to share the cake with the opposition leader’s supporters as they sing for the 2022 presidential hopeful happy birthday songs.
Raila Odinga was born on January 7th 1945 in Maseno.
