When he speaks, it is with an authority. Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe does not bite his tongue and today he claims, no thieves will be allowed to run in 2022.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Mr. Murathe also said, since it will take some years for another Kikuyu president, the region will rally behind a leader who will have its interest at heart.
”Kikuyus having known that the presidency will take some time to come our way, will be charting the best way to have the incoming president hold their projects at heart. No thieves will be ALLOWED to vie,” Murathe tweeted.
After President Uhuru’s exit, the region is faced with political uncertainity and it will take a while for a leader to emerge and unite the block in a single outfit. Like Uhuru did with TNA, Kibaki with PNU and DP.
Already, leaders like former CS Mwangi Kiunjuri, Peter Kenneth, Martha Karua, and William Kabogo are angling themselves to be the region’s kingpin. Others are Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi, Agriculture CS Peter Munya, and Senator Kithure Kindiki.
