Laikipia East MP Mwangi Kiunjuri says Mt Kenya MPs are being intimidated via threatening phone calls by senior UDA leaders from the region so that they do not raise their voices on issues directly touching on the Mt Kenya.

Speaking during an Interview with Inooro FM on Wednesday night, Kiunjuri, also The Service Party leader said issues such as the unfair distribution of national resources and the push for one man one shilling revenue allocation formula are among those making the UDA leadership uncomfortable if pushed by the region’s MPs.

He called for what he terms as a ”constructive national dialogue” to resolve the current economic and social stalemate in the country.

The lawmaker also recognized that the conditions put by the Azimio Coalition are valid and should be put into consideration.

He made a commitment to firmly advocate for discussions on constitutional amendments and the ways in which they can benefit the broader Mt Kenya community.
