Linda Mwananchi Rallies Are Good Because Nobody Can Put All of Kenya in A Box

The first big question for Linda Mwananchi politicians is for them to figure out what their plan really is for the country. As of now James Orengo their superstar has declared they want their ODM to run for the presidency in 2027.

Do they have any ideas on who their presidential candidate is going to be because it looks like that would be for James Orengo and everybody knows that would the worst political suicide for their team.

James Orengo has been outstanding activist and a political giant in our country at a time when everybody was bending to dictator Moi. That record looks good on him because this is not the first time he is taking political risks for his country. It takes a lot of guts to do that and Kenyans respect James Orengo for what he has done for his country.

I just hope James Orengo does not keep saying what he said when he made this statement. “Kifo ya Raila Odinga wameua Raila Odinga, sasa wanataka kuua chama cha Raila.”

James Orengo knows Raila Odinga has a family and how does he expect them to react to such statement from him. One of the people Orengo is fighting against now is Dr. Oburu Oginga, current ODM leader who supports a different political route for ODM. Making such a statement would imply that Oburu knows all those things and does not care. That is not good for people who know each other so well for a generation now.

Politic is however a game of realities on the ground. For James Orengo that means he has to fight like hell to be re-elected as Siaya Governor unless he has given up on that already and is looking for opportunities elsewhere.

In media reports during the Linda Mwanainchi, Edwin Sifuna called out President William Ruto for spearheading the throwing teargas at the residents.

At the time, Sifuna maintained that the meeting was not going to end despite the use of teargas to disperse the crowd present.

“Wapige ingine kama watapiga,,,,hii mkutano ni sisi tutamaliza hakuna mtu mwingine,” Sifuna said.

So having the rallies is the right of all Kenyans and President William Ruto and his security boss Murkomen has to cut off the attacks on Kenyans just for holding meetings.

One thing political terrorists never know like in this case is that it is the teargas and the attacks that are making the rallies popular with Kenyans. You leave them alone to have their meetings and go back home everything is fine. Even the media types are rushing there to cover the teargassing not the rallies.

It is time for Kenyans to demand that President William Ruto and his security boss Markomen must stop attacking Kenyans just because they are having peaceful rallies.

The Linda team leaders like Babu Owino and Sifuna spend their entire time at the rallies talking about the teargas business.

Those young Kenyans see all the drama at the rallies and they are going there to see what happens. So, for the sake of justice for Kenyans and for his own political sake, President Ruto need to tell his cops not to be attacking people in rallies that Ruto does not like. Those people in those rallies are Kenyans too with full rights like everybody else.

Let James Orengo, Babu Owino and others tell Kenyans what their plans for the country are and give their strategies for 2027 elections.

At the beginning those three Linda Mwananchi leaders were telling Kenyans that they were doing what Raila Odinga asked them to do and what he expects them to do now. Unfortunately for the rest of

Kenyans, none of us were in those discussions between those leaders and Raila Odinga and as thing stand now Raila is not here to tell the country that it is the Orengo/Babu/Sifuna team that represents his best wishes for the country he so dearly loved.

Kenyans need the Linda team to give them their plans for the country. Everybody blames DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua as having no plans for the country other than to take power. That is a big drag on him taking him backwards all the time. How about this new Linda team. Is this Orengo team going to join Gachagua or go to Kalonzo Musyoka or better still Fred Matiang’i.

The fact is that from the looks of things this Sifuna and Babu team have tons of money for their activities and we can see that from some of the heavy-duty trucks rolled out for them.

Who is paying for these trucks and the hotel bills for places like the Grand Royal Swiss Hotel? Sifuna has no access to ODM money at the moment. Is Babu Owin spending his own money for this or maybe James Orengo became a millionaire somewhere and now has this kind of money. Gachagua is not paying for this until that team joins his DCP. Kalonzo usually does not have money for that kind of stuff.

Is Uhuru Kenyatta spending part of his billions he grabbed as the president for those ten years to pay for the Linda team. If that is the case, what will they offer to Uhuru and his project, Fred Matiang’i.

Can Uhuru ask James Orengo to run as the Deputy President to Fred Matiang’i? Or will that be either Edwin Sifuna or Babu Owino. The question for the Linda team is that they look like they are in a hurry to go nowhere and that is never good in politics or anything else for that matter.

The obvious fact everybody knows including the Linda Mwananchi big ones is that none of them can run for the presidency in 2027 and have any chance. They all know that it is going to be fight to the walls just for the likes of Sifuna and Babu Owino to get what they want in Nairobi since some of them would love to take the governor job from Sakaja.

For Sifuna he will fight like hell to keep his senate job and that is doable with a lot of political alliances. Babu wants to take the governor job, but he knows the Nairobi politics more than anybody else and he knows the big games for that job starting with Gachagua promising to take it and has Nairobi MP James Gakuya ready for that job.

Kalonzo is hanging out there and the new alliance of UDA and ODM will have their candidates for all those seats. That is what the political warzone in Nairobi is going to look like in 2027.

That is the nitty gritty politics that some of these big names in Linda Mwananchi will face on the ground and they know that very well.

Now it is show time and that is part of politics. All these politicians are going to come back to earth after floating out there for a bit and they will find the same hard earth that is always there waiting for them.
