The Service Party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri says the ODM leader has devised a strategy to ensure Mt Kenya is divided and he scores at least 40 percent of the region’s vote saying the former PM will still be in government after 2022. Speaking in Laikipia over the weekend, the former Devolution CS says the end result of those in Mr. Odinga’s camp is to force a rerun by fragmenting the presidential vote so that no candidate garners a round one victory after which the leaders will gang up against DP Ruto in round two.

”There will be a rerun. There is a mission to ensure Mt Kenya is scattered. Mt Kenya people should no longer be proud of themselves. We are no longer kingmakers but swing votes. Raila will never be out of government. Do you think Raila is stupid? Even this time around, he will be in government,” the TSP leader said.
According to sources within corridors of power, all major presidential contenders Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Gideon Moi are all shopping for influential Mt Kenya politicians to join their camps as running mate, after which the candidates will unite under a single team days to the general election.
Last week in Muranga, ODM leader Raila Odinga said, together with the head of state they will be kicking off series of joint political activities across the country in their bid to strengthen the handshake at the grassroots snd unify Kenyans ahead of 2022.

”When I said we were working on something, some people did not believe me. But now it’s starting from here. The resolve to unite Kenya as a result of the Handshake begins here. Next week we shall be in Nyanza, then move to Western then Coast. We shall criss-cross the entire country to unite Kenya as one nation with Uhuru standing on one side and Raila on the other,” Mr. Odinga said on July 29th.
