President Uhuru Kenyatta says Mt Kenya’s wealth and public resources are only safe under Martha Karua, the Azimio-One Kenya running mate.
Speaking at Gatundu in Kiambu county on Monday evening, the Head of State for the first time revealed he played a role in the selection as Mr. Odinga’s running mate after the former premier requested him to propose someone from the vote-rich region as his deputy.
”We spoke with (Raila) and he asked me who I may prefer to be his running mate. I looked around and saw the incorruptible person and one keen on justice is Martha Karua,” the Head of State.

President Kenyatta also took time to remind the region how it lost an opportunity with the BBI process and that the region was being deceived by insincere leaders and it may live to regret in years to come if its voters are not careful.
”You will find an MP representing 5,000 constituents and another with 100,000 but the CDF allocation is the same. One person here will get a bursary of Ksh. 2000 while another Ksh 50,000, their children progress to the university and get good jobs and now you are being told that the best your children can get is a wheelbarrow,” President Uhuru continued.
”And that since you are hustlers you sell chicken and eggs…let me tell you, you are being misled, you are being misled and one day you will know you were misled.”
