Justice for Sniper: Interior CS Vows to Apprehend Blogger’s Killers

 Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has vowed to ensure that those responsible for the murder of Meru blogger Daniel Muthiani Benard, popularly known as Sniper, are apprehended to face the full wrath of the law.

In a statement shared on his social media account, Kindiki stated that investigators are nearing the conclusion of their efforts to identify the individuals who enticed and tortured the young man, ultimately leading to his tragic demise.

Mr. Muthaini disappeared on December 2, and his body was discovered on December 16, 2023. 

A postmortem examination conducted on the body of the deceased revealed that he died after being strangled.

Government pathologist Johansen Oduor who examined the Marimanti Level 4 hospital Mortuary in Tharaka Nithi, Meru County said Sniper had marks on his neck and he exhibited signs of a person who had lacked oxygen.
