Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kakamega counterpart Wycliffe Oparanya are leading the Azimio battalion in Vihiga where the team will drum up support for the new outfit and rally the county behind Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.

According to the itinerary, the campaign kicks off at Esibuye market in Emuhaya sub-County, then Chavakali and Mudete in Sabatia, Shamakhokho, Serem, Banga, and Gambogi in Hamisi sub-county, thereafter a grand rally at Kidundu stadium in Vihiga sub-county.

The entourage comprises Senators, MPs and aspirants leaning towards the Azimio Movement.

”We want to have a deal come August 9 General Election that is why we are going to tell the people what our plans are for this nation.

We are not here to counter anything as it is being propagated. You cannot counter something that does not exist. We (Azimio) are the force, and no one can stand before us. We shall sweep them like a tsunami,” MP Godfrey Osotsi says.

The Vihiga tour comes hot on the heels on a similar tour in Siaya county yesterday.
