JB Muturi: Firing squad should execute corrupt officials at Uhuru Park

Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Bundi Muturi says a dictator leadership was the best cure to the country’s corruption pandemic. Speaking in Kajiado county on Saturday, Muturi, also the Democratic Party presidential candidate said corrupt public officials should be subjected to a public shooting range at Uhuru Park thereafter the stolen funds diverted for public use.

”Lack of transparency and accountability has drained the country’s resources. It is sad that people are looting public coffers shamelessly and recklessly. At this rate, Kenya requires a dictatorship kind of leadership where justice is served promptly.

It is high time that those involved in corruption were paraded at Uhuru Park, firing squad called, the culprits shot dead and the proceeds in their accounts reverted to public coffers. It cannot be business as usual under Muturi-led government. If we must tame corruption, we ought to have dignified leaders who are transparent and accountable,” he said.

Muturi whose presidential bid got a shot in the arm after being backed by a section of Maa leaders also condemned the recent public exchange between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, while asking politicians to respect the Head of State.

”It is so sad that some leaders have turned to be outrightly petty and disrespectful towards one another. Some are even too arrogant to an extent of attacking the president. Ironically, the same people preach unity and cohesion. These are the leaders spelling doom to our country,” he added.
