High Court to decide on the fate of President William Ruto’s appointed Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) on 3rd Monday, 2023.

The High Court tomorrow will decide if President William Ruto’s CASs will assume office and start earning salaries.

A Kenyan citizen residing in the United Kingdom, Eliud Karanja Matindi petitioned the High Court to nullify the decision of President William Ruto to create an additional twenty-seven Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) positions.

Mr. Matindi told the High Court decision by the president to nominate fifty persons for approval to be appointed to the office of CAS, in the full knowledge that only twenty-three positions were created and recruited for is a gross violation of the constitution.

A three-judge panel comprising Justices Kanyi Kimondo, Hedwig Ong’udi, and Aleem Visram that heard the case over two days said that it would make a ruling on July 3.
