Kenyan rising star Aldrine Kibet delivered a stunning performance in Spain, scoring five goals in a single match to propel Celta Vigo U19 to promotion in emphatic fashion.

The teenage attacking midfielder, who has been enjoying a remarkable run of form, ran riot against their opponents in a one-sided clash that underlined his growing reputation as one of Kenya’s brightest football prospects abroad.
His five-goal haul capped a dominant team display and sealed a crucial victory that confirmed Celta Vigo U19’s elevation to the next level.
Kibet’s clinical finishing and attacking intelligence were on full display, with the youngster finding the net repeatedly as his side overwhelmed their rivals.
The performance adds to a string of standout displays in recent weeks, where he has consistently delivered goals and assists for the Spanish club’s youth ranks.
The former St Anthony’s Boys Kitale star has quickly adapted to life in Spain since completing his move in 2025, rising through the ranks to become a key figure in the team.
His exploits have not only attracted attention in Europe but also back home in Kenya, where he is widely seen as a future star for the national team.

Celt Vigo celebrated the teenage sensation on their official Facebook page, and the post generated significant amount of fun comments from Kenyans online.

Kipkorir Kevin: “Opponents wanataka power….mursik gives you wings,”

The 18-year-old midfielder, who made headlines while captaining St. Anthony’s Boys High School in Kitale to a national title, now becomes one of the few Kenyan players to secure a high-profile move to a top European league.
Kibet burst onto the national stage during the 2023 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) tournament, where he led St. Anthony’s to victory.
He emerged as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and top scorer, netting 25 goals and providing 27 assists.
Following his stellar performance, he moved to Spain in September 2023 to join Nàstic Sports Academy, the youth wing of Gimnàstic de Tarragona, a third-tier Spanish club.
His continued development at the academy attracted the attention of Celta Vigo scouts.
