Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi wants the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to move in speed and initiate the removal of Justice Said Chitembwe following a video footage posted online.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has sparked a storm following the release of a video footage exposing how the country’s Judiciary is rotten to the core, with Justice Said Chitembwe caught openly taking bribe.
Dubbed “The Rot in the Kenyan Judiciary” the first trailer of a five-part series gives an indepth look at the events which led to the former governor being impeached , the fraudulent dealings inisde Justice Said Chitembwe’s chambers as well as circumstances surrounding the swearing-in of Ann Kananu as Nairobi Governor.
Also caught in the expose is lawyer Cecil Miller, one of the lawyers who fell out with Mike Sonko following his graft allegation cases.
According to Havi the former Nairobi County Boss is determined to go down with the JSC if they do not initiate the removal of the judge in question.
“I have examined the exposé by Mike Sonko. The Judiciary took him out of office through subterfuge and he is determined to go down with it if JSC does not act. JSC must initiate the process of removal of the Judge on its own, without any further delay. It is so ordered,” Havi wrote on Twitter.
Sonko has described the series as a mixture of corrupt and fraudulent land dealings, his impeachment, sex for justice escapades and succession cases where widows, widowers, orphans and investors have been denied justice.
