Governor Wanga, Oburu Oginga Among Opposition Leaders at President Ruto’s Devolution Conference Address

Homabay Governor Gladys Wanga and Siaya Senator Dr. Oburu Oginga were among Opposition leaders who attended President William Ruto’s address today at the ongoing Devolution Conference in Uasin Gishu County.

Also in attendance was Mombasa  Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, Kisii Governor Simba Arati, Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro, and Taita Taveta Governor Andrew Mwadime among others.

Speaking during the memorial of Kenyans killed during the protests in Siaya on Friday, August 11, Siaya Governor James Orengo said they would boycott any meeting with the president until Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s security is reinstated.

It is not clear whether Mr. Odinga’s security has been reinstated by the government.
