Migori Governor Okoth Obado has revealed he will decamp from the ODM Party, to run for the top seat in 2022, using the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Speaking in Migori, Obado, who is on his final term as governor said he has elaborate plans in place to revamp the PDP, which he used to vie in 2013 or form a new political party altogether for 2022.
Obado also took issue with the One Kenya Alliance, an outfit bringing together Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi, saying, it is being used against the ODM leader.
”Someone cheated Raila and later changed tack and formed a new political outfit – One Kenya Alliance. I urge the residents of Migori to support my bid in 2022. Without Raila Odinga in the One Kenya Alliance, Luos will be sidelined,” Obado said.
Governor Obado has had an on and off relationship with the ODM Party, and its leader Raila Odinga.
