Governor Ochillo Ayacko says President William Ruto is welcome to Migori County any time he wishes to and has revealed how he is in constant communication with the Head of State prior to today’s visit by Ruto.

Speaking during a Sunday church service at Uriri Technical Training Institute, the ODM Governor noted that even though President William Ruto did not get many votes in the region, he is now the President of the people, and serves all Kenyans as their Head of State.

He explained that the national and county governments are expected to join hands together in serving the Kenyan people.

”The national and county governments are elected by the people and they serve the same people. Hapa kaunti ya Migori, sina watu wangu, wale sio watu was His Excellence the President. He serves us nationally and I serve you locally, and when we join hands together, the level of development will be unprecedented,” Governor Ayacko said.

”I want to assure you, that my government within the constitution or outside the constitution will partner with your government for the sake of our people, he added.

On his part, President William Ruto asked Migori residents to get used to him, saying he is working on the same attitude. He said this was aimed at building a peaceful and developing country, as opposed to one filled with chaos and violence.

“Mimi nataka niwapatie warning nyinyi watu wa hapo Migori. Nyinyi muanze kunizoea kwa sababu hata mimi najipanga kuwazoea,” he said.
