Ever since Hon. Junet Mohamed endorsed CS Oparanya for Deputy Presidency the silence from ODM waluhya has been so loud.
The Ruto-Oparanya ticket is the only realistic ticket ODM can produce.
Being a former long-serving ODM deputy, he ticks all boxes including seniority and rank rule.
Kakamega has more than 900,000 registered voters.
It means it is the most populous ODM county in western and Nyanza combined.
Kakamega ideally should have been to ODM what Kiambu was to Uhuru, but the divisions after ODM’s bungled primaries always made it shrink to less than 300,000-500,000 votes!
You will also recall that Kakamega was among the two counties IEBC connived to sabotage elections, when it postponed the governor’s election.
If Oparanya pick as Ruto’s no.2 excites Kakamega enough to turn out 99% in favour of Ruto; then the 2027 polls will be a landslide by President William Ruto.
