Former Sports CS Rashid Echesa has blasted Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi over threats by the outfit’s lawmakers to block ODM leader Raila Odinga from holding his Azimio la Umoja meeting at Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking on Tuesday in Kakamega, Echesa who has been missing from Deputy President William Ruto’s political activities said the country was only ready for a president who will unite Kenyans and not those who want to divide them along tribal lines.
”You cannot say you want to be the president of Kenya if you are dividing other Kenyans. We will not allow any leader to fight Luhyas with other Kenyans. I have had political problems with Raila but I have never told him not to step in Westen province,” the former CS said.

”I want to tell Musalia, if you want to be a village elder in Mululu, my brother proceed we will support you. But if you want to be the president of the Republic of Kenya you must be ready to bring together all the 45 million people together,” he added.
The former CS who is touted to be angling himself for the Mumias East MP seat was reacting to Friday’s remarks by Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala that former prime minister Raila Odinga will not be allowed to access the Bukhungu Stadium without an express permission from ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.
