DIKEMBE: Matiang’i Inheriting Jubilee Is a Good Thing. He is Best Placed to Account for the Party’s Time in Power

Ex-CS Dr. Fred Matiangi becoming the Jubilee Party Leader makes a lot of sense.

He served under that party and truly thrived. He was among the biggest beneficiaries of the Uhuru years, emerging from the periphery to the centre of power, and remaining largely perched at the top the entire time.

Matiangi inheriting Jubilee is a good thing. He is best placed to account for the party’s time in power, and convince Kenyans that they need a second dose of Jubilee Party rule, that is, a repeat of 2013-2022.

The forthcoming Jubilee Party NDC should therefore hand over the party to Matiangi as its 2027 presidential flag-bearer.

He stands a better chance at explaining the party’s record in housing, roads, ports, piers, its foreign policy, CBC, prudent use of borrowing funds, job creation, fuel subsidies, unga subsidies, corruption, killings, devolution funding, respect of rule of law and protection of civil/political rights.
