Are the Gachagua and Kalonzo’s Young Family Members Going for the Gen Z Demos They Are Calling for?

Rigathi Gachagua has been calling for mass action against the Ruto government on fuel costs and right now they are telling the Kenya police not to shoot and kill Gen Z protestors.

My first question to Rigathi Gachagua and the United opposition leaders is whether they will send their own young family members to those demos to face bullets if needs be or if they will just sit down with family members at home and in big hotels enjoying good food as they seek to see young Kenyans being killed by the police to help them in their difficult journey to the State House.

In the media today, former Deputy President and Democracy for Citizens Party leader Rigathi Gachagua has called on police to exercise restraint in handling crowds during the planned protests on Tuesday over high fuel prices and the rising cost of living.

Speaking on Monday on Kameme TV, Gachagua urged police to allow young people to express their grievances peacefully, without fear of violence or intimidation.

He said he supports youth who opt for non-violent means of protest.

“If Gen Zs decide that they want to take to the streets, they have my blessings. All I want to ask is that if these young people choose to demonstrate against the high cost of fuel, please do not kill them as you have done in the past,” he said.

Have those royal family members of opposition leaders living in luxury ever joined protests as young Kenyans have gone to the streets to demand a better life in the country?

Never and not even now will they ever come close to those protests.
