Linda Mwananchi cancels Ol Kalou tour after Gachagua’s Orders Them not to go there
Today the Head of State of all opposition parties in Kenya as well as the entire opposition movement issued direct orders to Linda Mwananchi and specifically to Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata not to set foot in Ol Kalou with their planned rally because they are foreigners in Nyandarua as far as the opposition boss is concerned.
Gachagua’s orders were promptly obeyed by Linda Mwananchi and Governor Kang’ata. In fact Gachagua issued those orders as he was having MCAs from Murang’a at his Wamunyoro State House so Irungu Kang’ata who is now a foreigner in some parts of Mt. Kenya had his own MCAs sitting there with the boss of everybody in the region as he claims.
The Linda Mwananchi movement has cancelled its planned tour in Ol Kalou and will now only tour Nyahururu on Sunday, July 12, following public objections by former deputy president and Democracy for the Citizens party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua, who insisted that the ongoing Ol Kalou by-election campaigns should be left to local leaders.
Confirming the change in the movement’s itinerary on his X handle on Friday, July 10, 2026, Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata announced that the movement would only visit Nyahururu Town, effectively dropping Ol Kalou from its itinerary.
“Linda will only go to Nyahururu Town,” Kang’ata stated.

The changes come just hours after Gachagua directed the Linda Mwananchi movement and Kang’ata to stay away from the Ol Kalou by-election campaigns, arguing that the contest is a local affair being spearheaded by Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leaders in Nyandarua.
Speaking in a press release at the DCP headquarters in Nairobi on Friday, July 10, 2026, Gachagua said outsiders should not “parachute” into the constituency at the final stages of the campaign.
“I want to tell my brother Irungu Kang’ata I heard him saying that he wants to come with Linda Mwananchi to Ol Kalou. We don’t need you there for DCP, unless you are coming to campaign for another party.”
He argued that Kang’ata lacked familiarity with the constituency and its political dynamics.
“Irungu Kang’ata has never been in Ol Kalou. He does not understand Ol Kalou. He doesn’t understand the issues. He doesn’t understand the narrative. He cannot come and bring Linda Mwananchi to campaign on the last day without knowing what the issues are and how the campaign is being done.”
Linda Mwanainchi team then manufactured their own myth about why they could not go to Ol Kalou after Gachagua ordered them to stay out of the place. Linda folks tried to claim that they avoided Ol Kalou because of their invented security threats.
Linda Mwananchi claim that organised groups had been mobilised to disrupt its campaign trail, claiming the objective was to create chaos that could affect the conduct of the by-election.
“Squads, goons have been mobilised from (other counties), and deployed to attack the Linda Mwananchi convoy along the trail during Ol Kalou tour,” the faction claimed.
No, please Linda say the truth which is that Gachagua told you that you are foreigners in Ol Kalou and should stay out and you obeyed him. End of story.
The bigger problem for the opposition in the country is that Rigathi Gachagua as their boss is inventing a political campaign system for 2027 elections where people he does not like are foreigners even within their own tribal communities. So Gachagua will choose who goes where to campaign in 2027.
For the other tribes forget it as far as Gachagua is concerned and that means every opposition leader will have to campaign in their own communities and that includes Gachagua’s “Cousin Communities”
Where this stupidity ends nobody knows but it is an ugly death bed for the Kenya opposition leaders and if they choose to sleep on that bed nobody can help them.
Even the so-called opposition leaders are barred from going to Ol Kalou to campaign for DCP candidate because they are also foreigners in that part of Gachagua territory.
Come 2027 the likes of Fred Matiang’i will be confined to Kisii territory by Gachagua. Kalonzo will have to keep his act in Ukambani.
Martha Karua will probably be banned from opposition politics once Gachagua picks the opposition presidential candidate because he doesn’t like her at all.
If Martha Karua rejects being thrown out altogether from the opposition by Gachagua she will run for the presidency on her PLP party ticket.
When this Gachagua tribal and clan madness takes hold of Nairobi County politics for the election of the governor, MPs and MCAs it could be bad and catastrophic as different tribes will take their territories in constituencies and Nairobi trading centres as well as CBD and nobody else is allowed there.
That is a development that could turn Nairobi County into a war zone during the 2027 elections.
That is Rigathi Gachagua for Kenya and it is coming. The country will be ready for it and clean the whole mess up as required. Kenyans are too smart to jump into the mess they saw in 2007/8 election tribal violence and massacres.
Kenyans will save their country starting with their Nairobi City County from tribal destruction by Gachagua and his cohorts.
Nairobi is a complex city and it will survive the Gachagua tribal war coming in 2027.
