Tutam Chants, Heckling Forces Kalonzo to Cut Short Tharaka Nithi Tour

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been forced to cut short his two day tour of Tharaka Nithi County on after rowdy youths on Thursday started chanting pro government slogan.

Kalonzo was in the county to open a Wiper liberation front office and later proceeded to a rally in Kibong’a where he was disrupted by youths shouting pro-government slogan, forcing him to cut short his tour.

The chants drown out his speech with youths shouting “Tutam” as Kalonzo tried to address the crowd.

Tutam is a phrase used by pro-government supporters to mean President William Ruto will serve for two terms as president.

The heckling made Kalonzo abandon his address and cut short his visit. He later expressed his frustration at the disruption.
