One Kenya Alliance will link up with Jakom as President, David Murathe

One Kenya Alliance will link up with Raila Odinga before 2022. This is according to Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe, who also revealed the new political outfit will have Raila Odinga as its 2022 flag bearer. Speaking to the press over the weekend, Murathe said, eventhough it may seems like the two camps are pushing towards different direction, they will eventually join forces to work together.

”It is highly likely that One Kenya Alliance will link up with Jakom (Mr Odinga). It is in their best interest to work together, the other one (reference to Deputy President William Ruto) does not have the best interest of the country at heart. Through Jakom as President, the country will experience its Mandela moment,” Mr Murathe said.

The new alliance, comprising ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi of KANU and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula have joined hands together, in what political pundits say is a move meant to isolate Raila Odinga, and get him to the negotiating table under their own terms.

However, the strategy to isolate Mr Odinga in the 2022 succession race has split the President’s men, with some, like David Murathe insisting the ODM leader is the right person to take over from President Uhuru next year.
