ODM leader Raila Odinga was on Sunday discharged from the Nairobi Hospital, after staying in the facility for six days. The former premier had tested positive for the deadly coronavirus on Thursday, after his grueling one-week tour of the Coast.

According sources close to Mr Odinga, his doctors, led by Dr. Olunya recommend he takes a long rest from his political activities, to allow his body rest and recover. During this duration, Raila will be isolated and will undergo further tests to ensure he is fully recovered.

”It is wonderful; it really feels nice to be back home. I was like in prison back there. I like to be in fresh air, I am still in isolation,” Raila said on Sunday, in a video clip of him out of isolation.
