Soy MP Caleb Kositany has reminded President Uhuru Kenyatta incumbents who try to manage their succession end up failing. Speaking in his constituency on Friday, the legislator said President Uhuru Kenyatta is using state machinery to advantage Raila as the country heads into 2022.

”We should play clean politics. You are using state machinery to try propel Raila before 2022. Leaders are chosen by God and Kenyans. Stop this boardroom politics of the deep state. The deep state was put in that position by Kenyans. But you need to learn from history, those who have tried to manage their succession have failed,” the MP said.

Kositany, who was ousted as the Deputy Secretary-General of Jubilee in February told President Uhuru to learn from the late Daniel Moi, whom he says terribly failed in 2002 when he tried to impose a candidate on Kenyans.

On Thursday, President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga spent the day together, addressing Kenyans from State House and touring the city to inspect government projects.
