MPs Arati, Osoro reconcile in Kisii after publicised fistfight

Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati and his South Mugirango counterpart Silvanus Osoro have tossed aside their differences and reconciled following their public physical confrontation, three weeks ago at the burial of the father of Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.

On Friday, the two MPs once again shared the podium during the during the burial service of Bonchari MP Oroo Oyioka at Itierio High school. Here Simba Arati Arati said he took responsibility for the exchange between him and Osoro on February 1st.

”Apart from the small disagreements witnessed during the last burial, you have seen today that Osoro is my younger brother in terms of age as well as in the National Assembly,” Arati told the mourners, among them ODM leader Raila Odinga and Interior CS Fred Matiangi.

MP Oroo Oyioka passed on February 15, at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Kisumu where he was undergoing treatment.
