Is Kanini Kega President Uhuru Kenyatta’s inside man at the ongoing One Kenya Alliance (OKA) retreat currently underway in Naivasha?
This is a question some Kenyans are now asking, given the Kieni Member of Parliament is a close ally of Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, but not a member of any of the parties in OKA, yet he is attending the two-day retreat.

Speaking to the media on Monday, the legislator said he was invited to the forum by KANU Chairman, Baringo Senator as a friend of OKA. Mr. Kega is a Jubilee Party member.
One Kenya Alliance comprising ANC, Wiper, KANU, and Ford-Kenya parties is said to be drafting legal instruments and their roadmap to 2022. Last week in Mombasa, President Uhuru Kenyatta told the former NASA principals in OKA to join hands and back Raila Odinga next year for the presidency.
The president’s call was echoed by KANU, one of OKA’s partners, which says Raila Odinga cannot be ignored and the four parties must work with the ODM leader in 2022.
”There are many things at play. You can’t jump the gun at the moment. You can’t find inclusivity right now before we are sure with the BBI. Where do you leave Raila in this? You can’t ignore Raila. The only formula that we pray for is that we get a favorable ruling on BBI,” KANU SG Nick Salat said yesterday.
