Ugandan Opposition leader Kizza Besigye is in Nairobi where he has held a closed-door meeting with ODM leader Raila Odinga at his Capitol Hill offices.
An Arch-rival of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, Besigye has been unsuccessfully trying to remove the Ugandan leader from power for the last two decades.
In a tweet on Monday afternoon, Raila was elated catching up with the Ugandan opposition leader he describes as a longtime friend.

”It was great catching up with my long-time friend Kizza! Dr. Kizza Besigye and I discussed the liberation dream that is still being pursued in many of our nations. I commend him for staying focused on the well-being of our people,” the ODM leader wrote.
With 2022 drawing closer, Kenya’s top two presidential aspirants Raila Odinga and William Ruto have aligned to Dr. Besigye and General Museveni respectively, pointing to how important Kenya is important to the East African nation.
Last month, while on a visit to Kampala, DP William Ruto was promised material support by President Museveni in 2022 as he seeks to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta.
Apart from his relationship with Museveni, Ruto’s numerous trips to Uganda have also come under scrutiny by state security, with the government claiming the DP could be engaging in illegal activities with the help of senior Ugandan government officials.
