Farouk Kibet Confronts Governor Mbarire and CS Muturi Over Declining Ruto Support in Embu

In a tense exchange that nearly escalated into a physical confrontation, Farouk Kibet, a close ally of President William Ruto, confronted Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire and CS Justin Muturi, over what he perceived as their failure to manage the declining popularity of Ruto’s administration in Embu.

The disagreement, which occurred in a closed-door meeting, saw Kibet dressing down the two leaders, accusing them of not doing enough to rally support for the President in the region.

The accusations were pointed and heated, with Kibet making it clear that their actions, or lack thereof, were jeopardizing Ruto’s political fortunes in the area.

As tensions rose and tempers flared, it became clear that the situation was on the brink of turning violent, with the possibility of a fistfight looming. This altercation quickly caught the attention of high-ranking officials within the government, who were concerned about the fallout from such an embarrassing public spat.

To address the escalating crisis, Governor Mbarire and CS Muturi were promptly summoned to State House for a more serious discussion.

The summit at the President’s official residence is aimed at finding a way to restore order and confidence in the leadership within Embu, ensuring that the President’s influence remained intact in the region amidst the growing political tension.
