Those who have been eagerly waiting for the death of ODM as one of the biggest political parties in the country must be sweating in their pants heavily.
ODM is growing stronger everyday and this Dr. Oburu as their leader seems to be the smartest decision they made. That man looks better every day. He is even looking younger now and just in the right place at the right time. This is scary for those who had declared mourning days for ODM.
That grave they dug for ODM they have to find something else to bury there. Who is that going to be? That is their problem. ODM is moving on and looks ready for 2027.
In media reports today, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi—key figures in the “Linda Mwananchi” faction led by embattled ODM SG Edwin Sifuna—attended the meeting at Parliament Buildings, a move that immediately triggered speculation about shifting alliances within the Orange Democratic Movement.

The session, presided over by ODMP party leader and Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga, comes amid growing rivalry between two parallel mobilisation drives inside the party: the Linda Mwananchi tour and the competing Linda Ground initiative.

Linda Ground campaign, associated with Oburu Oginga has focused on consolidating grassroots structures while keeping strategic options open ahead of the 2027 general election. Its backers argue that structured engagement and coalition-building are necessary to strengthen ODM’s national bargaining power.

PG meetings are critical in shaping the party’s parliamentary agenda and enforcing internal discipline, making attendance politically significant.
