James Orengo has been riding on Raila Odinga’s death and everything that has happened since and now it is getting to a point where there is nothing much left to ride on and Orengo and some hecklers are busy creating a situation where they are the alleged protectors of Ida Odinga and they want to jump on that for publicity because there is nothing left for them to jump around and dance.
Just over the weekend, Siaya Governor James Orengo condemned alleged attacks against Kenya’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Ida Odinga.
There was nothing specific about James Orengo’s outburst and chances are he never even bothered to talk to Ida Odinga before claiming that he is speaking out to defend her as if Ida Odinga is unable to speak out for herself and her family.
For Orengo the big dance has been with Linda Mwanainchi group where he was projecting himself as the opposition presidential candidate for that group while having their own goons fighting other goons.
That goonism nonsense is now over when Kenyans decided it is time for the Linda team to have their rallies with no drama and that was bad news for the likes of James Orengo because there was nothing for him to scream about his life being in danger as he fights to beat President William Ruto.
With my life is in danger manenos now dying and leaving James Orengo with nothing to yell or even talk about the man has decided now he is taking a new role as the protector of Ida Odinga and hopefully that can give him some publicity and keep him in his imaginary presidential race for 2027.
Can James Orengo have a little respect for Ida Odinga and let her have some peace for herself and her family?

If Orengo has his petty fights with some ODM leadership whom he has been fighting as he tried to grab ODM from Dr. Oburu Oginga can he go talk to those individuals privately regarding Ida Odinga without dragging her name in the media for Orengo’s own politics and publicity?
Orengo tried his best to take ODM as his personal political party after Raila Odinga died and they have been fighting over that for a while and that is now over and dead completely.
James Orengo is now free to start his own political party as the Linda Mwanainchi team are walking away from him with Edwin Sifuna as their top presidential candidate. James Orengo can defend his Siaya governor job as the leader a new political party for himself and who knows maybe he wins a super majority and help elect Kalonzo, Sifuna or Gachagua to the presidency.
For now, Orengo has warned that attempts to undermine the Odinga family would not erase the legacy of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Orengo claimed he was shocked and disturbed by attacks against Ida, whom he portrayed as a key figure in the struggle against oppression, injustice and despotism.
He accused those behind criticism of the Odinga family of betrayal, arguing that the language now being directed at them had begun to emerge while Raila was still alive.
“Ida Odinga was not just Raila’s wife but a fighter in the struggle against oppression, injustice and despotism. The vitriol and propaganda directed against the Raila Odinga family smacks of treachery and betrayal,” he said.
Orengo accused unnamed individuals of selling the party and attempting to consign Raila’s legacy to history.
“They have sold the Party and now want to throw Raila Odinga’s legacy to the dustbin of history. It will never happen,” he said.

Maybe somebody sold the ODM party, but can Orengo form his party now and call it Raila Amolo Odinga Kenya National Party led by James Orengo. That would be brilliant for him, wouldn’t it?
Orengo would beat William Ruto for the presidency hands down with that party. Let’s go for that and get rolling and let Ida Odinga have peace and no drama from desperate politicians.
James Orengo is a great patriot who has done a lot for his country in the last 50 years and he can just chill down after 2027 and talk to one of his buddies like Kiraitu Murungi a veteran politician who has now retired nicely and comfortably at home and doing other things.
