Billionaire Langat dismisses Donald Kipkorir

2 mins read

Lawyer Donald Kipkorir took to Twitter to reveal that he was no longer being invited to social events by the high and mighty of the Kalenjin propertied class because of his political affiliation.
Kipkorir has been a key Raila Odinga supporter since 2017.

A square peg in a round hole, Kipkorir charged his social isolation is ‘trivial’ coming from people who’ve been friends for ages.

Hivi Punde can authoritatively reveal that Kipkorir was reacting to receiving no invite for the wedding of billionaire businessman David Langat’s daughter who was getting married to the son of retired high court judge David Onyancha.

The high-celebrity invites-only event was attended by the who-is-who in the Kenyan legal profession and the Kalenjin big money bangers which makes it the more understandable why Kipkorir felt badly slighted when he received no invite.

However, people close to Langat say Kipkorir’s political affiliation played no role in his receiving no invite. The newlyweds, conscious of the new COVID variant – Omicron – wanted a small number of attendees who ended up being very close friends and family on both sides.

“I can with authority tell you that he wasn’t/t invited not because of his political association. There was Raila Odinga Junior who attended, whom I’d believe is more close to Raila than Kipkorir. It all came down to COVID and nothing more,” the source told this writer, adding, “Kipkorir is sulking for no reason”.

We reached out to Kipkorir for a comment and had not received any at the filing of this story.
