Ksh 70 Million and Counting! BABU OWINO reveals the millions he has spent on DJ EVOLVE’s recovery after shooting incident

Edwin Sifuna according to those fake media analysts is our next president after 2027 elections. Maybe Sifuna can pick Gachagua as his DP candidate afterall Ruto picked him for that job and won the presidency in 2022. Roll it again for Sifuna this time. “WHO HAS TOLD YOU”.
But after Sifuna, Babu Owino is taking State House in 2032 as he has already declared he is going for the big seat at that time. Don’t laugh now please, this is serious business.
Speaking on Monday, May 4, 2026, Owino disclosed that he has spent close to Ksh70 million on medical care, rehabilitation and related expenses on the DJ he personally shot in a dancehall.
Babu Owino explained that he chose to embrace what he termed “restorative justice” by taking responsibility and ensuring the DJ’s well‑being in his live interview with the Daily Nation.

“People say I should be in jail. I agree, but there are different types of justice.”
“Retributive justice punishes, while restorative justice seeks to restore,” he said.
The legislator revealed that the monthly medical costs average Ksh500,000, forcing him to borrow from banks and his SACCO to sustain the treatment.
He noted that DJ Evolve has made significant progress, now able to talk and eat normally, with physiotherapy remaining the final hurdle in his recovery.
Babu further stated that beyond medical bills, he purchased an apartment in Kilimani and hired two nurses, physiotherapists and an occupational therapist to provide round‑the‑clock care.
The MP was acquitted in August 2023 after Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi ruled that the prosecution failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.
DJ Evolve himself testified virtually, saying he did not see Babu with a firearm during the incident and acknowledged the support he has received since.
I personally like Babu Owino as an MP and I think he has done tremendous work as Embakasi East MP and that is why they keep electing him for the job.
Owino claims that it costs him 500,000 every month to keep his victim whom he shot to near death alive. The first thing to ask is just how does DJ Evolve survive day to day with thousands of pills pumped into his body every day. Is that really life or the poor guy is practically dead and just hanging in there.
Now the gunman who shot that young Kenyan wants to be our next president and he thinks Kenyans are going to be stupid enough to elect a virtual murderer to State House. Yes, Kenyans have kept murderers in State House but usually they start killing people after they take State House and not before and they don’t walk around with guns shooting people.
At the end of the day, the likes of Edwin Sifuna and Babu Owino are going to be struggling to just hang on to their existing jobs as Senator and MP in Nairobi and they are going to beg Gachagua for support to keep those jobs because ODM will also sponsor different candidates for those positions. Siasa is complicated business and that is coming down in August 2027.
