The Dying Opposition Group in Kenya Now All Over Tuju

Raphael Tuju happens to be my neighbour in Bondo town. He is from Rarieda where he was MP for some time, but he moved to Bondo town and we live on the upper side from the Kisumu Usenge Highway in the opposite direction from Opoda home of the Jaramogi family.

Tuju is a very good person in our part of town because he provides very good jobs to young people in his family business and they really like Tuju for that because he is just a regular guy with his family there helping to build up our part of town.

I would be happy for Tuju to get justice on his Dari investment which is like a city by itself in Nairobi.

The dead opposition “WANTAM” is now looking at their own “WANTAM” to go home and let the likes of Kalonzo retire from politics have jumped on Tuju’s neck not to save him but to save themselves.

It will not work for the opposition and Tuju will not jump into that sinking ship.

Raphael Tuju whisked to Karen Police Station moments after resurfacing

Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has been taken into police custody hours after he resurfaced.

In a viral video on Monday, March 23, 2026, police are seen raiding Tuju’s home in Karen.

His lawyers are seen questioning the motive behind him being accosted by police officers at his Karen residence.

Tuju was later escorted to the Karen Police Station in the company of United Opposition leaders: Kalonzo Musyoka, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, and former Attorney General Justin Muturi, among others.

Tuju: Why I did not report to police about unknown

In the video, Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru is seen questioning an officer who says they are investigating the report that had been recorded at Karen Police Station about Tuju’s disappearance, prompting a probe from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

“You have pronounced yourself that he is under arrest. Why is he under arrest? You need to give us the reason why he is under arrest,” Njiru asked.

“We are investigating. He had made a report, or a report had been made that he is missing. So we are investigating that report,” the officer told Njiru.

The family reported him missing at the Karen Police Station on Sunday, March 22, 2026, after efforts to reach him through his mobile phone, which had been switched off, were unsuccessful.

Amid speculation about his disappearance, Tuju has clarified that he was forced into hiding after noticing a Land Cruiser without plate numbers following him.

“I was being followed because it is easy to know when you are being followed. After that, I reported to Karen police station,” he said.
