The ODM Party must now end its treatment of Luos as the only group which must carry the burdens of the party.
Going forward, if the Luo is to carry the heaviest part of the ODM burden, the Luo must get the biggest share of whatever the burdens will deliver.
It has been the culture within the ODM party to treat Luos as the sole beneficiaries of ODM goodies, when minions who would take a walk the moment the going gets tough, eats the party steak 
as Luos wait for the bones 
.
Raila Odinga spoonfed characters like Sifuna for so long, which was unnecessary.
Take for example the signing ceremony of UDA-ODM MoU, Raila had to depend on Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina to explain to the ODM base what the MoU was about and why it was important. Sifuna, the spoilt brat he is, refused to toe the party line and undertake his duties fully. That should have been the day he was relieved of his duties.
If he was a Luo, that’s what would have happened. But the loyalty of Luos meant such an eventuality would never arise.
If Raila entertained Sifuna’s indiscipline and truancy, Dr. Oburu is under no such illusions.
He will insist that party officials must undertake their duties with dilligence and discipline; anything less will be sanctioned.
The era of the “favored child” is no more.
