Rift Valley and Mt Kenya dominate UDA party aspirant numbers
The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party has said it has strong grassroots support across the country, with the highest number of fully paid-up aspirants coming from the Rift Valley and Mt. Kenya regions.
The party says the growth reflects confidence in its leadership and expanding organisational strength.
There were 12,353 aspirants on UDA tickets for various seats that gathered at State House to tell Ruto they are ready to help him stay as president of our country come August 2027 elections. This is shocking really and that is before you add the ODM crusade also getting ready to go together with UDA in 2027.

According to UDA’s statement on February 4, 2026, some of the regions with the most significant improvements since the 2022 election include the Coast and Western Kenya, showing growing trust and renewed energy among supporters.

“Rift Valley and Mt. Kenya Regions continue to lead with the highest number of fully paid-up aspirants, a clear sign of strong grassroots confidence and organisational strength,” the party said.
UDA said the Coastal Region and Western Kenya are among the regions with many aspirants compared to 2022.
“Even more encouraging is that Coast Region and Western Kenya are the most improved regions since 2022 in the number of paid-up aspirants. That growth speaks to expanding trust, renewed energy, and a party that is steadily taking root across the country,” the statement added.
The party it is already holding ground, growing and consolidating and already building nationwide strength.
“UDA Party is not just holding ground, it’s growing, consolidating, and building nationwide strength,” the party noted.
UDA Aspirants
In the gubernatorial race, Kericho County leads with 13 aspirants, followed by Nandi and Elgeyo-Marakwet with 10 each. Some counties, including Nyandarua, Busia, Murang’a, Machakos, Laikipia, Kisumu, and Embu, currently have no registered aspirants.

In the race for Senate seats, Nairobi City tops the list with 23 aspirants, followed by Nandi and Elgeyo-Marakwet with 15 each. Nairobi County also leads the parliamentary aspirant numbers, hosting 112 hopefuls, with Nandi close behind at 104.
The party’s data shows UDA is consolidating its presence across the country while facing intense competition in key regions, highlighting the party’s growing nationwide footprint as it prepares for the 2027 elections.
In the meantime, Gachagua and his DCP group had a great day when Nelson Havi became the latest hero to join them and he came in with 10,000 supporters outside the Gachagua office where they met. Great stuff.

“I am happy to welcome Nelson Havi, one of the greatest legal minds in the country, to walk with us in his quest to represent the people of Westlands constituency in the National Assembly,” he said.
And things are roaring to a big new level as Uhuru has now appointed Kalonzo Musyoka as the new leader for the dead Azimio Coalition and they are ready to go specifically to nowhere. It looks good on them.
‘Illegal, null and void!’ Azimio affiliate parties reject Uhuru-led leadership changes

A section of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition affiliate parties has rejected recent leadership changes announced within the political outfit, terming them “illegal, null and void”.
The affiliates accused coalition chairperson and former President Uhuru Kenyatta of presiding over a process they say was opaque and non-consultative, arguing that key coalition partners were excluded from the decision-making.
Led by National Liberal Party (NLP) Secretary General Ishmael Omondi Koyoo, the dissenting affiliates have written to the Registrar of Political Parties, cautioning the office against effecting the changes and warning of possible legal action.
“The above actions go against the founding principles of inclusivity, transparency and accountability that Azimio espouses. In light of the aforementioned, we, the undersigned, founding Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Political Party affiliates, reject in totality the resolutions submitted to your office and caution you from further processing the illegal, null and void resolutions. Failure to which we shall seek legal redress in a competent court of law,” the affiliates said in a statement.
They accused coalition partners of political deceit, saying a purported Azimio meeting was held “clandestinely and non-procedurally” to deliberate on coalition affairs, fill vacant positions and remove officials from both the National Executive Committee and the Council.

“It is worth noting that political party coalitions are living agreements and not mere tombstones,” they added in the statement.
“The above actions go against the founding principles of inclusivity, transparency and accountability that Azimio espouses.”
When we look at what President William Ruto is doing across the country and at his State House, the level at which this dude can get things organized is scary and that is before we actually get to 2027.
One good thing Kenyans should be very happy about is that we are lucky we have two term limits for the presidency thanks to our battles in the 1990s. So yeah, come 2032 William Ruto will be gone and Kalonzo Musyoka will be our president at 80 years of age. Good heavens.
Maybe this guy will change the situation in 2032 because at least his Third Way Alliance is still alive to talk about ODM when they don’t even have a single MCA elected anywhere since the party was launched some decades ago.
Ekuru Aukot blames UDA over cracks in ODM

In his big announcement, Presidential hopeful and Third Way Alliance Party leader Ekuru Aukot has fingered the ruling party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), over what he terms as causing cracks within the Orange Democratic Movement party.
Speaking to a local TV station on Thursday, February 4, 2026, Aukot has called out the ruling party for meddling with the affairs of the ODM Party. Aukot has said that the ODM Party has lost its ideology. He has added that Kenyan politics has been commercialized and is about personal interests.
And here is Kalonzo Musyoka solving Kenyan problems with global leaders in Washington DC right now. It looks great.

Here is prayer time for US politicians blessing Kenyans though Kalonzo Musyoka. How nice.
