Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has escalated her criticism of former DP Rigathi Gachagua, whom she says has incited the youth in Mt Kenya region to protect him with rungus and crude weapons.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, Wamuchomba claimed Gachagua has been attacking leaders who do not conform to his tribal politics across the Mt Kenya region, and now wants the region’s youth to protect him from hostilities after creating a long list of enemies.
”General Kiguoya has been attacking and abusing every leader who does not Support his tribal narratives and venom. He has created political enemies in every county of Mlima including Machakos,” Wamuchomba said.
”To defend himself ; he’s now inciting innocent voters to defend him with “Rungus “. He’s moving around wearing Helmet and bullet proof vest yet his handlers have none.”
The MP further asserted that during his tour of the United States last August, Gachagua traversed the country to solicit money from the diasporians.
“When he travelled to the US, he was given over KSh 600 million. He bought two brand-new bulletproof four-wheelers worth 65 million each, a sound and a jammer system, and paid all his personal and family debts,” she said.
Wamuchomba noted that the former deputy president utilised the funds without considering those who were in the tumultuous political terrain with him.
