Wanga in Night Talks with Kalonzo

Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga met United Opposition Leader Kalonzo Musyoka last night in a Nairobi hotel in what observers view as her continued efforts to pile pressure on President Ruto to sack Interior PS Dr. Raymond Omollo.

Wanga accuses PS Omollo of sponsoring and supporting independent candidate Philip Aroko in the just concluded Kasipul by-election; a move she says undermined ODM Party and the broad-based coalition government.

PS Omollo denies the claims, with allies saying Wanga is merely scapegoating the interior principal secretary out of “petty jealousies”. UDA top leaders came to Kasipul and campaigned for the ODM candidate.

The Sunday evening meeting with Kalonzo, which stretched upto 9pm; was also attended by her political advisor and Homa Bay Majority Leader Martin Ogindo and several others.

Kalonzo on his part was accompanied by Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti and MP Dan Maanzo.
