Ruto Going to a New Level While the Opposition Wallows in Violent Language and Has Zero Plans for Kenyans

Ukambani will never be in opposition again, Ruto declares.

President William Ruto has vowed to do whatever it takes to ensure the Kamba region is part of the government come the next general election.

Ruto said it was unfortunate that for too long the region has remained in the opposition, hence lagging on development as other regions progress.

”Kwa vyovyote, mbele na nyuma, kulia na kushoto, juu na chini, hii Ukambani haiwezi kukaa upinzani tena,” he told the residents in Kibwezi, Makueni County, as he commenced his development tour of the region.

(By all means possible, this Ukambani will never again remain in the opposition)

The President admitted that he partly contributed to the region’s political isolation in the past, saying he had neglected it and allowed his opponents to “penetrate and mislead” the people into the opposition.

Without naming names, Ruto appeared to address some leaders, telling residents that he was determined to reclaim the region’s political loyalty.

“Tell them that Ruto has arrived and has said Ukambani is leaving the opposition to join the government,” he said, drawing excitement from the crowd.

“Will you tell them? Will you tell them that you are tired of being in the opposition?” he asked as the crowd responded enthusiastically.

Ruto also aimed at his political rivals, accusing them of lacking a clear plan for development.

He said what the people of Ukambani need are basic services such as water, roads, and electricity, things that can only be delivered by leaders with concrete plans.

“Mtu kama hana mpango, sera, agenda au akili atabadilisha Ukambani namna gani? Atabadilisha namna gani?

(If someone has no plan, policy, agenda, or sense, how will they transform Ukambani? How will they bring change?)

The Head of State further criticised some leaders, saying he said they were fixated on political slogans and power-sharing instead of offering tangible solutions.

“I already warned you, if you keep repeating things like one-term, Kasongo, or must go, you won’t win the votes of these people,” he said.

He also took issue with some leaders, claiming they are focused on sharing the government.

He urged them to instead focus on agenda.

“Na nilishawapigia repoti mkiendelea ati “one-term”, “ati Kasongo” ati “must go” haiwezi kuwapatia kura ya hawa wananchi,” he said.

Ruto, who is accompanied by his Deputy Kithure Kindiki, several Cabinet Secretaries and elected leaders from the region, will camp in the region for four days to launch and commission projects.

At a time when William Ruto has found his feet to focus on his 2027 hopes by working directly with Kenyans from every part of the country and achieving concrete developments for Kenyans as they see the public housing project take shape with Kenyans already moving into finished houses, Rigathi Gachagua has found his right foot back in advocating and promoting violence and chaos for the country after elections just as his partner in Rift Valley massacres, President Moi did in 1992.

Kenyans are watching and they will not allow Gachagua to drive the country into another tribal violence as he wishes.

From what Kenyans can see, Rigathi Gachagua has good experience in committing political violence and carrying out ethnic cleansing. The first time Gachagua was involved in that was in 1992 after Kikuyu communities in Rift Valley voted for the opposition during the first multi-party elections and Moi was furious with them and wanted them gone.

Molo Clashes – 1992-93

The major outbreak of ethnic violence in 1992 was the Molo clashes in the Rift valley region which left 5,000 people dead and another 75,000 displaced and moving from Rift Valley to Central Province. The conflict was primarily between Kalenjin leaders in power and Kikuyu communities with land ownership in the region.

Nothing raises so much fear and apprehension in Kenya as the spectre of fresh `ethnic conflicts’, similar to those that rocked the country in the build-up to the 1992 and later on after the 2007/8 elections during the multi-party politics in the country.

The emergence of post-election violence in Kenya was partially a fulfillment of President Moi’s earlier prediction that a return of the country to a multi party system would result in an outbreak of tribal violence that would destroy the nation.

Today it is Rigathi Gachagua who has taken the job that Daniel Arap Moi was doing by promising Kenyans violence and destruction after multi-party elections are allowed in Kenya. Moi promised the violence after forthcoming elections and he delivered it as promised with the help of Gachagua personally commanding massacre on the unwanted tribe for President Moi.

Gachagua now as the leader of the United Opposition group with their only one agenda named “WANTAM” has made two big promises of tribal violence in 2027 should he and his team fail to win the presidency and the general elections for M.Ps and MCAs.

One thing Kenyans are seeing now is that when Gachagua is not issuing threats of mobilising a tribal warfare that will make the 2007/8 look like a “Christmas Party” he is busy crawling under his bed because he claims President William Ruto is trying to kill him like he did in 2024.

Gachagua now claims he is fearing for his life and is demanding help from the Police the IG Kanja while providing the names of those trying to kill him right now and ordering the IG on what to do about his allegations.

It is probably better to let Gachagua speak for himself.

Gachagua urges IG Kanja to address threats of election violence

In a statement addressed to IG Kanja on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Gachagua called on the police chief to exercise his powers and take action against individuals who have been issuing threats to him.

He further stated that those issuing threats are closely associated with Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire and Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku, the immediate former MP for Mbeere North, with Simon Njagi Njiru serving as Director of Communication for Governor Mbarire. Gachagua emphasized that the people of Mbeere North should be allowed to exercise their democratic right to vote for a candidate of their choice without coercion or intimidation.

Gachagua’s responsibility

Addressing IG Kanja directly, Gachagua reminded him of his civic duty and responsibility as a former senior citizen, saying that it’s his work to inform him whenever there appear to be drums of war.

Gachagua further indicated that if adequate security is not provided, the people of Mbeere North, who largely support him, are prepared to protect him and his entourage themselves.

“I have credible intelligence that the state-sponsored goons who have been harassing me and my supporters have been fully mobilised for Mbeere North ahead of my arrival,” Gachagua said.

That is Gachagua providing names of political leaders allegedly trying to kill him. Those people Gachagua named publicly have their heads marked right now by Gachagua supporters. Even in the mafia world, they do not operate like that. You cannot point peoples’ heads for shooting by your supporters with frivolous information that only you claim to have. Go to the police station and provide what you know about any threats to public peace anywhere in Kenya.

This is Gachagua today trying to grasp some air space so Kenyans can know that he is still in politics hoping to be one day the president of the country. It is not happening now or in 2027. He knows that. So to stay alive in Kenya politics Gachagua has been threatening Kenyans with violence since 2024 when he was impeached.

Kenyan Leaders Urge Unity, Reject Violence after Gachagua Reckless Remarks
Kenya will never return to political violence.

Several national leaders have issued strong warnings to impeached former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua following his recent inflammatory remarks suggesting that Kenya could experience violence worse than the 2007/2008 post-election crisis.

Gachagua, leader of the new Democracy for the Citizens (DCP) party, likened the tragic 2007 events to a “Christmas party celebration,” a statement that has drawn sharp criticism for being insensitive and irresponsible.

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki led the condemnation, asserting that Kenya would never return to the dark days of political violence. In a statement posted to his official X account on May 17, 2025, Kindiki reassured Kenyans of the government’s commitment to safeguarding peace and stability ahead of the 2027 General Election. He categorically declared, “Kenya will never return to political violence. Not in 2027, not at any other time in future.”

Kindiki expressed deep concern over the divisive language being used by some political figures, warning against tactics aimed at instilling fear among citizens. He stated that such fear-mongering is unacceptable and vowed that the kind of tragedy witnessed in 2007/2008 will not be repeated under his watch. “Our country learnt hard and painful lessons from the 2007/2008 post-election violence. Never again,” he affirmed.

Gachagua Clarifies 2027 Election Remarks, Denies Inciting Violence

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has come out to clarify explosive comments he made suggesting that the 2027 elections could descend into chaos.

Gachagua attended a church service in Gatanga, Murang’a County, where he accused his political adversaries allied to the Kenya Kwanza government of spinning the narrative against him.

The former DP denied inciting Kenyans into unrest, instead insisting that he was only voicing what he heard on the ground.

“They are trying to change the context of what I said. I never said there would be unrest,” Gachagua stated in his clarification. “All I said is I listened to Kenyans, and they are saying the President and IEBC should not rig elections.”

Gachagua’s clarification followed controversial remarks he made during a TV interview on Friday, May 16, when he claimed any discrepancies in the upcoming polls would plunge the country into chaos. The former DP went a step further by describing the 2007 post-poll chaos as a ‘Christmas Party’ compared to what he sees forthcoming after the next general elections.

“With the mood in the country, if the IEBC tries to mess with the elections, there will be no country here. I want to tell you, 2007 will look like a Christmas party,” Gachagua said on Friday.

In the midst of their going nowhere national contact with Kenyans and all that talk of violence from Gachagua, it was a bit of a surprise the opposition group noticed they are doing great in Nyanza with the Luos.

When Kalonzo Musyoka went to pay his respects to his long time political partner with whom they did good things for the country, he was received with grace and respect for him. The people at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, which is now home to Raila Odinga, were happy listening to Kalonzo talk about the Kenya they have worked for and want to build.

Now United Opposition leaders under Gachagua have a whole new Bible on why they are doing so well and William Ruto is scared to death.

Opposition leaders say Ruto now ‘confused’ after Kalonzo’s Nyanza reception

The United Opposition has hit back at President William Ruto over his claims that they’re driven by political greed, saying the Head of State is worried by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s reception in Nyanza, which they say complicates his political matrix.

They took a swipe at Ruto, calling him a confused President, and said his political calculations have hit a dead end as the opposition is now acceptable in Nyanza.

“Huyu Kasongo niliona akilia anasema kuna wanaume watano wamekutana kugawa serikali. Amechanganyikiwa tangu aende Bondo kulia machozi ya uongo, familia ya Mama Ida ikasema Kalonzo anatambuliwa — sasa amechanganyikiwa,” Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua said.

They dismissed accusations that the opposition is out to ring-fence their own interests by forming government, insisting that they have one core mission — to remove President Ruto from power.

“Hao wanaume na mama mmoja wanakutana kupanga vile utaenda nyumbani. Kazi yetu ni kukutoa serikalini, tutapanga baadaye,” added Gachagua.

President Ruto has  told off opposition leaders for claiming that Kenya’s transformation to a prosperous country cannot be achieved.

He said the government has a plan on what to do and how to raise the funding required, and dismissed the leaders as people without any agenda.

The President also slammed them as people who specialise in division, tribal talk, and hatred and no wonder cannot visualise a Kenya that transforms from Third World status to the first world.

Our advice to tribal supremacists trying to take power in the country we love and they too love is to listen Bob Marley. It will be nice after that for them to accept that nobody needs any type of war in our country.
