Mudavadi Praises Kenyan Police for Global Professionalism and Peacekeeping Excellence

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has lauded the Kenyan Police Service as one of the most professional and respected security forces in the world, citing its strong record in international peacekeeping missions and disciplined service at home.

Speaking during the homecoming ceremony of Dr. Amani Komora, the newly appointed Chairperson of the National Police Service Commission (NPSC), in Oda Village, Tana River County, Mudavadi commended the Kenyan police for their exemplary performance in more than 50 global peace missions.

“Our security forces are professional, orderly, and regarded globally. We must ensure that these standards are upheld at all times,” Mudavadi stated.

Highlighting Kenya’s role in global peace efforts, the PCS applauded the over 800 police officers who recently completed a peacekeeping mission in Haiti, noting that despite the mission’s volatility, there were no recorded cases of human rights violations. “This is a testament to their professionalism and discipline,” he remarked.

Mudavadi challenged Dr. Komora to uphold and enhance the standards of integrity, service, and accountability established by his predecessor, Mr. Eliud Kinuthia. “You have no option as the chairperson but to ensure the standards are maintained, if not higher,” he said.

Turning to local matters, Mudavadi urged the leaders and residents of Tana River County to foster peace and stability as a foundation for economic growth and investment. “Every investor wants to put their money where there is peace. Projects like those in Galana Kulalu can only thrive in a peaceful environment,” he emphasized.

In his closing remarks, Mudavadi celebrated Dr. Komora’s distinguished service and dedication to national cohesion, describing him as a role model for the youth and a symbol of transformative leadership rooted in discipline and patriotism.

The event, attended by local leaders and security officials, reflected a spirit of unity, pride, and appreciation for Kenya’s men and women in uniform who continue to serve the nation with honor both at home and abroad.
