Kenya Deploys 230 Elite Officers to Boost Haiti Mission

Kenya has sent another contingent of police officers to Haiti as part of the multinational effort to stabilise the violence-hit Caribbean nation.

The latest deployment comprising 230 elite National Police Service (NPS) officers was flagged off on Saturday in a ceremony led by National Security Advisor Ambassador Monica Juma.

According to a statement shared by NPS on X on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, NPS said the team will reinforce Kenyan officers already on the ground under the Gang Suppression Force (GSF), joining personnel from Jamaica, Guatemala, El Salvador, the Bahamas, and Belize. Kenya remains the leading country in the multinational mission.

In a message delivered during the ceremony, Juma urged the officers to uphold discipline, professionalism and the values of the service, reminding them that they carry Kenya’s image beyond its borders.
