Laikipia Ebola centre is Ruto’s plan to wipe out Mt Kenya community – Gachagua
Many Kenyans including me are against the Ebola centre in Kenya where President Trump wants to take American citizens in DRC who could have Ebola infections. Parliament is finally addressing that issue and some resolution must be found where Kenya makes it clear that it will not import Ebola to Kenya.
The stupidity and tribalist nonsense of Rigathi Gachagua turning the issue into an attempt to wipe out the Kikuyus is something Kenyans will have to deal with. This lunatic tribalist has to be removed from the Kenyan political geography. We know he owns the United Opposition or the Alternative Government whatever they call themselves, but their biggest nightmare is Rigathi Gachagua. He is nuts as a politician and he owns the opposition.
The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader, Rigathi Gachagua, has alleged that the planned establishment of an Ebola quarantine facility at the Laikipia Air Base in Nanyuki is a scheme by President William Ruto to wipe out the Mt Kenya community.
“We have every reason to believe that this Ebola centre is a strategic plan by William Ruto to wipe out the Mt Kenya community and, more so, the people of Meru and Laikipia,” he noted.
“The American government has said that its citizens shouldn’t be taken to their home because of the danger and risk of that virus spreading and affecting a huge population.”
“This Ebola, we’ve been told by the World Health Organisation, has no vaccine and is likely to kill 50% of those who have been affected. Bringing it to the mountain is an existential threat to the lives of our people.”
The former Deputy President wondered why the elected representatives of Meru have remained silent on the matter, terming them ‘fake’.
“To our shock and horror, all elected Members of Parliament are quiet. The Senator has said nothing, MPs, fake governor, fake Deputy President have said nothing, the people of Meru are on their own,” he noted.
“We don’t want this Ebola centre anywhere in Kenya. Let the Americans take it to America or another country.”
In the meantime, Rigathi Gachagua is imposing DCP candidate in Ol Kalou. Jubilee which held the seat before the death of the MP have to step aside for Gachagua to at least have one MP in parliament.
The worst thing that could happen for Gachagua is when voters get mad with his dictatorship and elect the UDA candidate in Ol Kalou.

Speaking during an interview with a local television station on Thursday, June 5, 2026, the DCP deputy party leader stated that although Nyandarua County is a stronghold of the Democracy for Citizens Party, they control nearly 90 per cent of the county.
They had initially allowed other parties within the United Opposition to field candidates in the spirit of democracy.
