President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga have a commanding 14.1 million votes ahead of the 2027 elections, surpasing the United Opposition’s Cousins coalition, which boasts of 9.4 million votes.
The voters’ roll is projected to have 27.8 million voters by 2027, up from the current 22.1 million.
From the IEBC data, the Raila, Ruto axis’ 14.1 million projected voters from the Luo, Kalenjin, Maasai, Somalia, Coastal and Indian voters puts it ahead of the pack as country heads to the next election.
On the other hand, the Opposition camp comprising the Kalonzo, Gachagua, Wamalwa and Matiang’i collectively marshal about 9.4million votes according to numbers from the IEBC voters roll.
However, the Gen Z block,with its 5.6 million new voters, analysts say could be the 2027 election wild card.
