Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has blasted President Uhuru Kenyatta over his Friday remarks, telling DP Ruto to either toe the line or leave the government if he was not content by its performance.
Speaking in his county on Saturday 13th, the former Majority Leader told off President Uhuru Kenyatta , saying projects done by the Jubilee government are not the president’s projects and that they, in Jubilee, helped him.
”We have respected you enough. Respect the projects zile tumekusaidia kutengeneza. Na usijifanye ni projects zako wewe pekee yako. Ni projects zetu sisi ambao tulikusaidia,” Murkomen said.
Speaking in Nairobi on Friday, President Uhuru told DP Ruto and his allies who are unhappy with the government to quit if they were not content with its perfomence. In a bare-knuckle attack, the visibly angry Uhuru took on his principal assistant, rebuking him for being a thorn in the government’s flesh.
“How many governments do we have? moja ama mbili. It’s only one. If you want to enjoy its goodies remain, if you are mentioning its faults, quit. Leave others contented with the Government to continue its governance,” Uhuru said in Uthiru, Nairobi County.
