President William Ruto is pleading with restless Kenyans to give him one year to bring down the price of unga from the current Sh. 230.
Speaking on Tuesday in Langata constituency, the Head of State blamed the last government which he says is responsible for the current high unga prices.
”The price of Unga was brought up by the previous government to Ksh. 230. I ask you to give me one year and I will bring the prices down,” the Head of State said.
”Nitanyorosha hiyo mambo kwa mwaka moja. We have already started the process of lowering unga prices.”
During the campaigns, President Ruto pledged to slash the price of Unga to Sh. 70 a kilogram as one of his radical measures to lower the cost of living within his first 100 days in office as President.
