2022 succession was discussed yesterday when Senator Gideon Moi and President Uhuru’s brother Muhoho Kenyatta met Raila Odinga at his Karen residence. The meeting came after a similar one, by the ODM leader and President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday.

According to sources, Senator Gideon Moi was an emissary sent by One Kenya Alliance to help mend any broken relationships with the ODM leader. Even though other members of the Oe Kenya Alliance have been fighting Raila Odinga, the Baringo Senator has not been party to the attacking press statements.

”They dont have any political clout outside Raila Odinga. Trying to be seen as trying to isolate the ODM leader was a terrible move. Watch them begging for a photo session just to remain relevant,” a source privy to yesterday’s meeting revealed.

On the other hand, Muhoho Kenyatta’s presence in the meeting shows it had President Uhuru’s blessings and their interests being well presented. There is now a possibility of Senator Gideon Moi bundling together Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka and taking them back to the team, lead by Raila Odinga.

”What you see there is the building of a bigger alliance that will rattle the political scene, the presence of Muhoho in the meeting was an indication that the talks had the blessings of the President, their interests are the same.”

National Assembly Minority leader John Mbadi confirmed politics was discussed but said it did not indicate it was pre-planned.

“Of course politics must be discussed because once Muhoho and Gideon go to Raila at his home they will ask how he is feeling and Raila will explain how he fell sick and how he’s doing.

“After that they will discuss politics, they will discuss BBI, they will discuss Kenya, next year and now. But that does not mean there was a pre-planned meeting,” Mbadi said.
