Lugari MP Ayub Savula claims Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya was being used by Deputy President William Ruto to spy on President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga. Speaking on Sunday in Lugari, the ANC legislator demanded a public apology from Oparanya for embarrassing the Mulembe Nation.

”Our regional kingpin, deputy party leader of ODM, our Governor Oparanya every time is sneaking to Sugoi. And Ruto confirmed he has sneaked to Sugoi five times. He must declare a public apology on why he has been spying on the president because we are so bitter,” the MP said.

MP Savula also said the Western region was united behind Musalia Mudavadi in 2022 and wants to work with President Uhuru and Raila Odinga to back the ANC leader as the next president when Uhuru retires.

”We want to work with Uhuru. We also want to work with Raila so that Musalia become the automatic presidential candidate. Raila is an old man, we just need his blessings. He cannot marshal a national campaign at this moment. We want Raila to be the kingpin and Uhuru retires peacefully and they both advise Mudavadi on how to run government,” he added.

On Friday evening, Deputy President William Ruto revealed he has been holding secret meetings with Governor Oparanya to discuss prospects of working together in 2022.

“We have discussed with him how we can work together and how he appreciates the Hustler narrative and the bottom-up approach,” the DP said on Friday.
