Trade and Industry CS Moses Kuria says Kenya Kwanza Administration has no other way of dealing with Raila Odinga and the Opposition except the way Yoweri Museveni (Uganda) and Paul Kagame (Rwanda) deal with their opponents.

Speaking to BBC’s Focus on Africa on Friday, CS Kuria said President William Ruto will not be intimidated by Mr. Odinga, the way he did to Presidents Moi, Kibaki, and Uhuru.

”He’s had it for too long. He has had it good for too long. He had it with Kibaki. Kibaki is no more. Kibaki is dead. Kibaki is gone. He had it with Uhuru. He will not have it again, take it from me you cannot then there’s not going to be any dividend for democracy,” Kuiria said.

He continued, “We had very transparent elections, we went all the way to the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court pronounced itself, you know, every time coming to prosecute an election, then it means that we’re going to deal with him the way Kagame (Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda) deals with his opponents. The way Museveni (Yoweri Museveni, President of Uganda) deals with his opponent. There’s no other way.”

Kuria didn’t mince his words, referring to the opposition’s call for mass action as “economic terrorism.”

The Trade CS described the ongoing demonstrations by the Opposition as ”economic terrorism” and that the government will not just sit and watch further disruptions.
